Rural Crime and Coronation (8th May 2023)

Writer's picture: Treacles WITreacles WI

Fabulous meeting on Monday 8th May, celebrating King Charles’ III Coronation at the weekend. All our members got into the spirit by wearing Red, White & Blue & wore a crown or tiara. For fun we had bought ‘Union Jack glasses ‘ to also wear - didn’t they all look fabulous . Even our Raffle had a Coronation theme, thanks goes to Clare for organising & Michelle for stepping in & running it on the night. A big thanks also goes to Valerie for baking the Union Jack Cake.

Sgt. Rob Simpson, Head of the Rural Crime Team in Cheshire, was our speaker who gave us an insight into his very demanding job & what it means to be part of the Cheshire Police's Rural Crime Team.

A few members also shared their experiences where they volunteer locally, which was really enlightening. Thank you again ladies

Janet also brought along her homemade Coronation themed crocheted blanket & Babs brought her family heirloom from Edward VIII’s Coronation, which has never been used.
